 Dottie About was not created from a business plan, it evolved, from a desire to build a different, more purpose led  life  together.  Lyn and Dave  had a wish to live a life together and needed to find another way to live more fully, where they  could work side by side and be more connected to what was         important in life. Founded by Lyn & Dave in 2024,  they  named their shop after their 5 year old         Cavapoochon Dottie, who led them to the door whilst out on a walk through  Louth, their home town.  After a quick transformation  Dottie About opened it’s doors in late 2025.  It’s a warm welcoming  shop where  customers can find hand crafted home fragrances, Artisan Homeware and beautiful gifts.  For Lyn the  business is deeply personal. With ADHD and Autism in the family, she’s always searched for simple ways to bring calm into everyday life. One of the most powerful being scent, highlighted from the joy that the scent of nature brings, from  woodland walks in  Springtime, to hedgerows in summer and warming winter spices. That belief shapes everything that  Dottie About is about.  Every candle, home fragrance and handcrafted piece is carefully chosen for quality, craftsmanship  and how it can bring comfort and peace into people’s homes.  Whether you’re shopping online or in the shop, at its  heart,  Dottie About, is about supporting independent British makers and creating that special space in your life for slower, more  joyful living. Transform your homes and lift your spirits with this               collection of quality, handmade, artisan products that  are carefully created  and made to last.  Dottie About are mindful of the planet and take care to curate recycled  material  items where possible.  Dave & Lyn wanted to create a warm welcoming environment where everyone could feel  special  and looked after. With the local community being at the heart of who they are, supporting  local events and  independent businesses, as well as other small British makers is the key focus.     Dottie About has been created with Well Being and Self Care in mind and many of the products you will find here reflect that ethos,  helping to  create moments of calm in a very loud world.
