THE DOTTIE ABOUT STORY
Exploring All Things Light & Beautiful
Dottie About was never born from a business plan. It evolved from a desire to
create a different, more purposeful way of life—one where Lyn and Dave could work side by side, stay connected to what truly matters, and build something meaningful together.
Founded by Lyn and Dave in 2024, Dottie About takes its name from their much-loved five-year-old Cavapoochon, Dottie. It was during a walk through Louth, their home town, that Dottie quite literally led them to the door of what would become their shop. After a little transformation and a lot of love, Dottie About opened its doors in late 2025.
Today, it is a warm and welcoming space where beautiful things are chosen with care. From handcrafted home fragrances and artisan homeware to thoughtful gifts and little luxuries, every piece has a story and a purpose.
A Home for Calm & Connection
For Lyn, Dottie About is deeply personal.
With ADHD and autism within the family, she has always been drawn to simple ways of bringing a little more calm into everyday life. One of the most powerful is scent.
There is something wonderfully evocative about fragrance—the scent of woodland after a spring walk, summer hedgerows in bloom, or the comforting warmth of winter spices. These everyday moments in nature inspired Lyn to create a
collection that captures that same sense of comfort, calm and connection.
This philosophy is at the heart of everything Dottie About stands for.
